October 26, 2005

Audio samples of all 22 tracks that are set to appear on the forthcoming NIRVANA compilation, "Sliver: The Best of the Box", have been posted online at 7Digital.com and MTV.com. Included on the CD are three previously unreleased songs — "Spank Thru" from the famed 1985 "Fecal Matter" demo tape, the 1990 studio outtake "Sappy" and a pre-"Nevermind" rehearsal recording of "Come as You Are".

"Sliver: The Best of the Box" is scheduled for release on November 1 via Geffen/UME. The album's other 19 tracks are all drawn from the 2004 boxed set "With the Lights Out", including a cover of LED ZEPPELIN's "Heartbreaker" from a 1987 house party, the "Nevermind" outtake "Old Age" and a 1994 Kurt Cobain home demo of "All Apologies".
